This Scheme assesses archival surgical stained sections, 2 routine staining methods employed during Mohs surgery. The first case is requested from any site, the second case is from the specific site/tissue composition detailed on the delivery letter*
Staining Criteria Handbook available in Members' Area
Rationale
For each case,
• slide 1 - must demonstrate tumour
•
slide 2 -
must be a full-face cryostat section, usually with inked margins indicating orientation.
The associated slides must be a true representation of that case, and of the quality performed as part of routine daily workload.
Submission
2 archival stained preparations, from 2 distinct Mohs surgery biopsies, which are designated on the accompanying delivery letter issued with each assessment run.
Report
Individualised.
