The first case should be the first Mohs case to be received into your department after the date requested.
The second case should be slides from the first available archived Mohs case performed after the specified date. It should be an example of a Mohs case from the specified site or tissue composition requested. Tissue composition will be either;
❖ Cutaneous skin covered
❖ Mucosal / Conjunctiva epithelial, e.g. lip, eye
❖ Hair Bearing e.g. scalp
❖ Cartilaginous e.g. ear
As Mohs’ is a specialised procedure, it employs specialist handling, best practice, and close liaison with surgeons to ensure correct diagnosis.
